Approached by two guys in motion and brutally gunned down by eleven bullets in the face. All within a few seconds, before the eyes of dozens of passersby. A run full-blown one that yesterday afternoon, has crushed the life of Arnold Peralta, Honduran midfielder class of ’89 Deportivo Olimpia for years in the national team. The ambush took place in his country in La Ceiba, a city on the Atlantic coast, while the player was going to get on board of their cars in the parking lot of a shopping center. All to clarify the motives for which, according to local press, for dynamic mode and suggests a brutal and heinous showdown. Few before being killed, Peralta had among others received the call-up for the friendly scheduled for next Wednesday against Cuba.

lurking brutal – As reported by many eyewitnesses, the ambush was consumed in a matter of moments, surprising Peralta just before getting in the car to leave the parking lot of the Mall Uniplaza. Starring two men aboard a motorcycle that once avvicinatolo, exploded a flurry of blows to the face aiming. Reached by eleven bullets – according to the findings after the autopsy – the player of Deportivo immediately collapsed to the ground while the killers vanished at high speed. Ultimately, a murder too heinous (and cheeky) to be simply categorized as robbery ended in tragedy. Even so, they confirmed all witnesses – the two guys running fled without stealing anything.
investigations – Investigators are investigating while maintaining complete confidentiality, but the daily “La Prensa” has suggested a possible link with another tragedy that shocked the Peralta family six months ago: the murder of Byron, cousin 28 year old Arnold, killed 1 June by three hooded men, after they broke into the house, they riddled with bullets without giving him time to get up from the sofa on which he sat. Despite the brutality and the mode of the crime, the police hastily filed the case as “murder during a robbery” (but without finding the perpetrators). But the murder of Arnold could disclose new scenarios.

national mourning – Only hypothesis, for the moment, because it does not appear that Peralta had criminal records or dangerous acquaintances. When he returned home in January after a season and a half in Scotland with Rangers jersey (which in 2014 won the Ligue One), the boy was soon to become one of the leaders Olimpia, the most successful club with 24 Honduras championships and two Concachampions bulletin board. Promise of national sin dall’Under20, of which he was captain of the World category in Egypt in 2009, he debuted with “Bicolor” in 2011 and participated in the Games in London in 2012 before helping the Seleccion to obtain the qualification to Brazil 2014 . The World had had to skip last minute due to injury, but he returned to Honduras after to stay. Next Wednesday against Cuba Peralta there would have been, had known a few hours before heading to the mall from which he never returned. Logical, therefore, the condolences of the entire Honduran football: from the Federation, who expressed his condolences to the family through twitter, the leadership of the club where he played Peralta, who lamented “the death of a family member olimpista”.
