The Real Madrid Carlo Ancelotti won the World for club defeating 2-0 Argentines of San Lorenzo in the final played in Marrakech, Morocco. Goals from Sergio Ramos, great header at 37 ‘, and Bale unmarked in the area in the opening shot (51′). Nothing to do, then, for the club which is a fan Pope Francis.
Record equaled
The Merengues had already won the Intercontinental Cup in 1960, 1998 and 2002: the fourth title equals the record of Milan, succeeded in the only other team to win four times the Intercontinental Cup or the World club (1969, 1989, 1990, 2007). Four are also the titles won by Carlo Ancelotti: two as a player (1989 and 1990) and two as a coach (2007 and 2014).
