Start the mark of Mercedes weekend’s Italian Grand Prix. The championship leader, Lewis Hamilton was the fastest in the first practice session in Monza (1’24.670, half a second of his pole position last year), followed by team-mate Nico Rosberg (1’25.133) . Third, a second and a half, Ferrari Sebastian Vettel (for him a spin smoothly in the final) in front of Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg. Sixth the other Ferrari driver, Kimi Raikkonen. Trials were briefly interrupted by an off-track Red Bull’s Carlos Sainz to
Parabolica without consequences.
