The Ethics Committee of FIFA has announced its decision to provisionally suspend for 90 days the president Joseph Blatter and number one of the UEFA Michel Platini. The same measure for the general secretary Jerome Valcke. The penalty, tells FIFA, may be extended to 45 days. The former vice president of the organization, Chung Mong-Joon, was instead disqualified for six years and to pay a fine of 100,000 Swiss francs.
The FIFA has made official what will Issa Hayatou to take place Blatter for the next three months. As required by Article 32 (6) of the Statute, Issa Hayatou, the longest serving vice-president of the Executive Committee, will be Acting President.
Blatter, president of FIFA, today was at work in his office at the headquarters of the governing body of world football in Zurich, like any other day. Investigators elevetici accuse Blatter of having concluded in 2005 an unfavorable contract with Jack Warner, president of the Football Federation of Central America and the Caribbean involved fully in the investigations on corruption at the highest Fifa taken last May. Also he disputed a payment in 2011 of CHF 2 million to Michel Platini for the work carried out nine years ago.
Blatter, the FIFA ruling in 1998, and Platini, pointing to candidate to his succession, have denied any type of irregularity.
The story is also addressed by IOC president Thomas Bach: “We have had enough. FIFA is an entity that has structural problems and not just certain elect a new president to clean up. It needs a credible external application. ”
